The Hide opens - with a ten-year anniversary live video
I've built a quieter corner of this website. It's called The Hide, and it's open now to the people who support the music - the mailing list, and anyone who's bought something on Bandcamp.
The first thing inside is a film I've been sitting on for ten years: the final section of Sound Sanctuary's last show, at Trinity Theatre in Tunbridge Wells in July 2016. It was the night the four of us from my first band, The Glorious Amber Life, got on a stage together for the first time since 2000 - and the last gig before Summit of the Big Low existed. It's that final part of the set - the part of the show where all four of us were on stage together for the first time in sixteen years - online for the first time, uncut as it happened, with the original poster and a few photos from the day.
From here on, The Hide is where things will appear first - short posts I'm calling Sightings: news from the recording sessions, early listens, works-in-progress, field recordings, and whatever else seems worth reporting. Nothing on a schedule. Posted when there's something real.
If you're on the mailing list, your way in came by email. If you're not yet, joining the list is the way - request a Field Pass and I'll send it over.
